We are suffering here in Jordan from the most worst problem about the Internet which it’s the limit of monthly download rate of all ISP’s (Internet Service Provider) start with Orange which it’s the biggest telecommunication company in Jordan and through Umniah, Fastlink, Wi-Tribe and Batelco and all of them trying to get money from customers as much as they can and at the same time convince them that they had the best Internet service in the world, but the majority of people don’t know what is the Bandwidth, and why it’s limited here in Jordan and why they should pay for expensive offers to get what they want.
Look at this table and read what is the limit for each speed and how much it cost:
Is that what they called “Internet”? who limited this? and why? A lot of my friends told me about the cause and it was to limit the usage of the Internet and to get more profits from customers and from those who don’t know what Internet means to the other coutries, they are enjoying their time with open limit and without crying on their service provider or their computers.
If you don’t know what I mean by “Limit Download” i wanna tell you what does this mean:” Take an example and suppose it’s me!:) I’m a customer at Orange TC with speed 512 and download limit equal 7 GB/month , not the limit has been finished and the current speed is 10 kb/second! 
imagine that, that’s happened because when i broke the allowed limit and the speed changed to 128 so simply DAMN ON YOU !

its true we download soooo much and we watch online shows but we r paying for that aloot since all the family members from dad to my smallest sister are using it !!!

the majority of people are like you and me, they really suffering from this situation, all the families used to use the internet to entertain themselves but it’s not working neither work, study nor entertainmen.
I think ZAIN is better than Orange because the download is free from 12 AM until 6 AM which mean everything you download will not count from your limit. O ana kaman bs y5ales 3a2de bede gayer la Zain.

I have heard the problem is caused by lack of enough Internet lines supplied to Jordan. There is a new cable that should be installed soon http://www.aawsat.com/details.asp?section=6&article=484578&issueno=10866 . But I also agree the download cap does play a big role in the profits of jordanian ISPs
There should be collaboration from al jordanians, I am not talking about dumping the internet for a month or so
as I know its IMPOSSIBLE. Users should file complains to Jordan Telecommunication regulation authority and to the ISPs. maybe that will help if not by removing the caps but increasing the limit. as this is in NO way acceptable. I would use the 7GB in about 3 days!!!!
